Ride the Divide Screening in Philadelphia.

I got to see this movie a few weeks ago, but it is worth checking out again, plus it will bring the community together for the night.

For those of you that don’t know, every year there is sort of underground race from The Canadian border to the Mexican border that follows the Continental Divide through the Rocky Mountains. The film weaves the story of three characters’ experiences with immense mountain beauty and small-town culture as they attempt to pedal from Banff, Canada to a small, dusty crossing on the Mexican border.

One of the riders is one of my favorite cycling bloggers who is also a kick ass bike rider. Mary Metcalf Collier kicks some butt in this movie, but you need to watch to see what happens.

This ride will prompt anyone to get right out there and ride just to challenge themselves and try to live up to the feat that these riders put themselves up to.

This is more than just a movie screening, since there will be a live performance by Amy Petty one of the soundtrack artists before the movie even starts, so you are getting a concert of sorts with your movie. Talk about multi media. The doors open at 7:30 and show starts at 8pm at World Cafe Live. Tickets are 12.50 and are available from the WCL website.

Check out the trailer on Vimo and get your tickets. It is going to be awesome.
