Big Time Biker Down

I hesitated to post this, but if anyone is a member of the Philadelphia Cycling community, Eric Nordberg of Time Cycle Couriers is. Eric lost his infant daughter Katie and at the time I am posting this has both his Wife and 3 year old daughter fighting for their lives at Temple and CHOP respectively. Luckily his teenage daughter was at school when this tragedy happened.

There was a fire in the back portion of their suburban home that was extinguished in just about one hour.

I never worked for Eric, but all of his employees speak very highly of their boss. You do not often find that in the courier world and I feel so awful for him and his family.

With the respect that everyone has for Eric and the Time Cycle alums such as Brian “Fuzzy” of Bicycle Revolutions, Jed of the Philadelphia Cyclocross school, Jeff of Philadelphia Bike Films night and sprint jawns MC, Rachel/Battleaxe Baby and Roland of RELoad as well as many other fine folks all over our beloved sport and industry. I am sure there will be some sort of major fundraiser or other method of support for the Nordberg family that will happen in the near future. I will try to keep you updated. For now, just keep him and  his family in your thoughts.
